Charlotte spent her childhood divided between London and the wild countryside of Northumberland.  She has no formal artistic training beyond art A'level, but grew up surrounded by painting as her father is a professional portrait painter.  After studying Zoology at Edinburgh University, she worked in the City for 8 years and has since returned to painting whilst bringing up her children.  Charlotte has undertaken more than 250 commissions over the last 5 years.  She lives in London with her husband and three children.

"I work by commission, meaning every picture is completely individual according to the client's wishes.  I like painting animals and my work tends to draw inspiration from the British countryside, however I am happy to include any subject in order to personalise the picture.  In response to demand, many of my pictures have involved illustrating letters, names and poems, but I am open to any other design ideas."
